SENIOR SPECIALIST: BIODIVERSITY DATA ANALYST ( Cape Town) - South Africa

The company requires a motivated individual to manage, and quality assure the preparation. and remediation (structure/format, coding, review, entry, validation, editing) of large biodiversity datasets ingested from the company and data partners, through application of standards and practises that maximise the opportunity for capacity development in data management within the company. Develop and maintain databases, data analytics and complementary strategies that improve the quality of company's data holdings. Manage the acquisition of data from data partners and secondary data sources. Managing all ETL ((Extract, Transform and Load) processes across all relevant systems. Manage all ETL processes across BIM systems. Identify, analyse, and interpret trends and patterns in data sets. Ensure junior staff receive scientific and technical training, and mentorship. A postgraduate qualification with NQF level 8 is an added advantage. Extensive experience in developing methods and procedures for complex business rules. Extensive experience with global and South African biodiversity data management standards
