Description Shipping Coordinator/Administrator My client in the road freight industry is seeking a Shipping Coordinator/Administrator to join their team based in Cape Town. Job Type: Permanent (on-site) Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Handle the liaison with shipment clients Prepare customs clearance documents on computer Co-ordinate customs clearance procedures and delivery of the consignments Calculate quotations for inbound shipments Assist with outbound enquiries and quotations Make bookings to view for the sales consultant Make bookings for collection and delivery of shipments Make bookings with shipping lines and transporters Prepare documentation for exports e.g. letters of confirmation to clients, export waybills, typing of marine insurance certificates, Filing, emailing, faxing, photocopying and all other duties relating to sales and inbound and outbound traffic. Comply with Outbound/inbound shipments as per the company's procedures Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 with mathematics 5 Years Experience in the transport/logistics industry Relevant tertiary qualification will be highly advantageous Excellent telephone communication skills Accuracy with numerical work PC literacy and accuracy Good command of the English language – grammar and spelling Should you wish to be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly to the advertisement.
