Signal Engineer Durban 1. Qualifications – Railway signaling -Signal design and testing 2. Experience – 3- 5 years or more. 3. Location – Durban (Pine town) · Responsible for pre-sale technical support activities of South African railway signal system, including the preparation of technical bidding documents. · Responsible for engineering design liaison, preparation of system design documents, engineering design including construction drawing design. · Responsible for the interface design with external systems. · Responsible for the construction and testing technical support. · Responsible for site Validation and Guidance for T&C. · Responsible for retrofitting existing signalling systems to update them, either in response to regulations or to improve efficiency and performance. · Perform and execute the test and commissioning tasks according to the test plan and test procedures. · Record faults and report any defects or deviations from the specification. · Troubleshooting and fault finding of electronic equipment faults, wiring error, and crimping error, etc. · Fault find electronic systems and report back results and any systemic issues. · Ensure that “Best Practice” is adopted, and that quality of workmanship is always maintained to the highest possible standards. · Study job specifications to determine appropriate Testing and Commissioning methodology. · Complete other tasks normally and reasonably arranged by the company and the project.
