Our client in the Leisure, Travel & Tourism industry is currently looking for a Sous Chef , in uMkhanyakude, Kwa-Zulu Natal. Setting Kitchen Hygiene Standards. Training chefs and implementing kitchen standards. Adherence to the menu set according to the Food Styling Guide and approved by Food Fundi. Collaborating with the lodge training chef during visits. Keeping up to date with Food Styling Guide. Creating Bush Banqueting according to the Food Styling Guide. Proactive Maintenance. Good communication with guests. Responsible for all food orders, storerooms, fridges, and deep freezes. Checking buffets, dinners, breakfasts, and snacks. Engaging guests. Promoting discipline and fair treatment. Promoting teamwork. Having fun and flexibility. Always approachable. Being aware of the special dietary needs of guests. Meeting guests before their first meal to establish their requirements. At least 2 years of Chef experience. Passion for kitchen management – including all kitchen administration, general hygiene, and people management. Passion for training staff, creating fabulous food, and new ideas. Drivers licence – code 8. Dependent on qualifications and experience. Apply Now
