Reference: WB003544-DK-1 We are seeking a Junior or Mid-level Wetland Specialist with 2-5 years of experience to join our team in Ballito. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in wetland delineation and classification, wetland vegetation identification, and the application of published wetland assessment tools such as WET-Health and WET-EcoServices. Requirements: - BSc Honours Degree in an appropriate environmental field or equivalent (MSc preferable) - Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in wetland assessments - SACNASP Professional Registration - Proven work experience in wetland delineation and assessment, wetland offsetting and mitigation strategies, and wetland rehabilitation - GIS expertise - Experience in aquatic and hydropedology assessments (advantageous) - Own vehicle - Knowledge of AutoCAD (advantageous) - Excellent scientific report writing skills - Experience in proposal/tender compilation and management - Familiarity with the National Water Act, 1998 (Act 36 of 1998) and related policies, strategies, and guidelines, as well as other environmental legislation - Willingness to travel extensively and work extended hours when required - Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision - Language capabilities: Fluent in English (other languages advantageous) By submitting any Personal Information to MPRTC in any form you acknowledge that such conduct constitutes a reasonable unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing and storing of such Personal Information by MPRTC and/or MPRTC's clients and/or verification information suppliers.
