Our client in KZN has an exciting opportunity for an Information Automation (IA) Specialist to join the Automation & Digital Transformation Team Planning and coordinating a new generation of operational technologies alongside existing information and administration focused IT systems. Reconfiguring or implementing specific adjustments to optimize performance of the DCS Control System, Subsystems and Factory Operations. Managing data streams and converting to Dashboards. Generating Business Intelligence (BI) reports and KPI's. Developing plans and documentation that consider data integration standards, specifications, governance and security. Work in close collaboration with the system technician towards innovative digital integration solutions. Degree or National Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent. 5 years' experience in an Industrial Automation & Information Technology integration environment. Computer networks, database systems, operating systems, artificial intelligence, formal languages, software design & programing, and data structures. Ability to apply techniques to integrate, process, analyze and visualize data. Good understanding and experience of Business Intelligence (BI) tools. Factory measurement and DCS control system experience will be an added advantage (Yokogawa Centum VP, Exaquantum) Strong attention to detail & problem-solving skills
