Stores manager position - Peacehaven, Vereeniging Under the general direction of the Commercial Operations Manager, the Overall management of the company's warehouse/stores and goods storage. • 1. Efficient storage, distribution, security and stock control • 2. Effective management of staff MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE: • 1. Provide efficient stores support service • · Establish efficient security, stock control and optimum storage conditions for all the company's product lines • · Oversee the receipt, co-ordination and safety of goods coming through the stores • · Ensure orders arrive and are despatched on time to the right destinations and in the right quantities • · Play a hands-on role in the managing, motivating and directing the company's stores workforce • · Implement and manage efficient systems to account for all incoming materials/goods • · Ensure all goods are stored securely and safely in conditions appropriate for the raw material/finished product • Ensure the health, safety and cleanliness of the work environment • · Carry out a regular cycle of stores cleaning and inspections to ensure hygiene standards are maintained to the highest level possible and in compliance with legislative requirements at all times • · Monitor stock levels in storage and stock rotations that take into account production dates if applicable • · Process all orders for distribution and incoming delivery and maintain accurate records of all goods in and out of storage • · Establish quality objectives for the stores facilities and ensure these are met Operate within the allocated budget • · Meet delivery deadlines by being flexible and working in the most efficient way with the given resources • · Produce accurate daily reports of the work done, including; records of the type of products removed for sale each day, how much was issued, sold and returned - ensuring targets are being met • · Keep accurate records of damaged stock returned and the nature of the damage (e.g. goods damaged in transit etc.) and to keep accurate records of free stock issues and reason for their issue (e.g. sales promotion, replacement of damaged stock etc.) • · Constantly seek new ways to improve the company's Stores efficiency and cost effectiveness • · To oversee the maintenance and servicing of all Stores machinery and equipment Actively engage with the senior management by providing input on all aspects of the storage and distribution of goods in and out of the Stores 2. Effective people management of warehouse support staff • · Train and motivate all Stores staff as required • · Provide regular Stores information and performance reports • · Recruit all Stores staff • · Handle all disciplinary matters in the Stores workforce in accordance with company policy and labour laws • 1. Leadership • · Manage the section within time and budget • · Plan, select, develop and maintain suitable manpower capabilities for the function • · Develop, lead and maintain a motivated and high performance team • · Identify and timeously address functional related problems and opportunities • · Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders • · Provide technical direction • · Ensure compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements and internationally accepted environmental, health, safety and quality standards Grade 12 • Dyna Supervisory Certificate • A relevant degree in distribution/logistics or equivalent • MS Office _ Intermédiate level minimum. • At least 4 years of warehouse/stores management experience • Hands-on experience of managing warehouse/stores facility and workforce • SAP Business one Knowledge R30 000pm - plus benefits
