Description Job Opportunity: Supply Chain Coordinator Our client, a leader in global supply chain management, is seeking a motivated and qualified individual to join their dynamic team as a Supply Chain Coordinator. Based in Durban, our client specialises in efficient on-carriage road transport between depots in Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg, as well as direct customer delivery. With well-resourced facilities in major cities, they offer scalable solutions for various industries, enhancing clients' competitive edge and global reach. Key Requirements: Degree in logistics, supply chain, business management, or a related field. Excellent communication and computer skills, particularly in Excel. Strong understanding of internal controls. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to continuous improvement and result-oriented work. Key Responsibilities: Implement and optimise processes and procedures for the supply chain department. Develop and maintain reporting and tracking systems for management use. Coordinate with vendors and transportation partners to ensure optimal scheduling and timelines. Evaluate and recommend improvements for existing business processes. Source competitive rates from service providers based on customer needs. Prepare and issue quotations to customers. Manage shipment files from opening to finalisation. Onboard customers onto the ERP System. Ensure all customer documentation meets company standards. Complete vessel bookings and communicate details to customers. Send transport instructions and monitor stack dates. Confirm packing addresses and ensure customers complete company's clearing instructions. Arrange customs clearance with nominated agents and send clearance documents. Capture customer invoices and request shipping line invoices. Confirm Bill of Lading details with shipping lines. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth end-to-end supply chain process. Handle customer queries and attend to ad hoc requests.
