CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

This post provides technical support to the staff and students of the Fashion and Textile division of the Department of Visual Arts. Core purposes pertain to the preparation and maintenance of machinery specific to the teaching of Fashion and Textiles.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• To coordinate overall effective and quality control production room duties
• To support the lecturers and students at all levels of study by way of maintenance, repair and servicing of machines specific to the teaching of Fashion and Textiles such sewing machines, over-lockers, irons etc.

REQUIREMENTS

• A sound knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repairs of specialized industrial machinery specific to the Fashion and Textiles
• Matric Qualification
• 1 3 years relevant and / or working experience
