Warehouse Assistant and Driver (JB4395) Modderfontein, Gauteng R8 000 to R10 000 a month Permanent A Decking Company is looking for an experienced Truck Driver and Warehouse Assistant. This role primarily involves driving company vehicles and handling stock offloading and carrying. Long-distance deliveries are part of the job, sometimes requiring overnight stays in remote rural areas. During non-driving hours, responsibilities include warehouse tasks such as stock movement, loading assistance, stock counting, and warehouse upkeep Minimum Requirements: Grade 9/12 3-5 years' experience in a similar role Valid Driver's License Code EC1 Valid PrDP – Minimum Group G (Group P/D - Added Advantage) Valid Forklift Drivers Code B7 License (Added Advantage) Good communications skills Good time management and planning skills Duties and Responsibilities: Carrying themselves professionally Dressing neatly and respecting the staff uniform and any other company assets or property Handling the company vehicles with care and respect Keeping the vehicle in a clean, neat and presentable manner Understanding how to best load a truck, weight distribution, secure fastening, rules and regulations Understanding the weight restrictions and load capacities for the vehicle being driven Communicating understandably with clients and suppliers when on site Clear communication to management when needed Understanding the importance of signing and keeping paperwork for the company Completing the daily logbook form and completing the checks required for each vehicle Reporting any issues the vehicle might have so maintenance and servicing can take place timeously Respecting the working team and working together respectfully Always having a charged and operational phone available to be contacted on Trustworthiness is of utmost importance Kontak Recruitment Disclaimer: Equal opportunity: All backgrounds are welcomed, with no bias.
