We are currently recruiting for a Fitter to join our dynamic team. Job Purpose The incumbent will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical equipment in the Process Plant. Grade 12/N2 qualification. Fitter and Turner Trade Certificate from a recognised/accredited institution. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Fitter and Turner in a mining environment. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience on Crushing and Screening Plant with, Conveyor Systems and automated Stackers/Reclaimers and general associated infrastructure. Legal liability, HIRA, First Aid, working at heights, firefighting, and basic rigging training and competency. Experience on Process Plant equipment with sound Fitting and Turning maintenance skills, knowledge, and technical background. Certificate of fitness to work in a mining environment and successful completion of Rehabilitation Fitness Assessment (RFA). Valid driver's license code 08. Skills and Competencies Sound maintenance skills and knowledge. Technical and interpersonal Skills. Problem solving and root cause analysis skills. Written communication skills. Compliance to MH&S Act of 1996 and Regulations and, Internal Mine; COP's, SOP's, Managerial Instructions, and other legislative requirements as deemed necessary by the company. Comply to SHE systems and processes and conduct Risk Assessments and complete Permit to Work prior to execution of any activities. Participate in incident/accident investigations when required. Compliance to good Engineering Maintenance Standards when doing any; installation, maintenance, and construction of the plant equipment. Conducting planned maintenance work in line with the maintenance schedule. Execute planned maintenance work according to job card task instructions. Maintenance work to be done efficiently. Perform quality inspections and report findings on the job card feedback for capturing by planning department. Ensure asset performance is high and reliable. Perform cleaning and good housekeeping duties within the department. Maintain and repair lubrication systems. Maintain and repair mechanical components. Maintain and repair hydraulic equipment and components. Levelling machinery and equipment. Assembling and fitting precision tooling and mechanical components using the correct tools and technological aids. Work overtime when requested by the employer and perform standby duties.
