The Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) is a professional membership organisation serving the minerals industry. We offer membership to all professionals working in the industry. We wish to increase the visibility of our brand, while growing our marketing and communications capability. Brand Position the SAIMM brand to create a competitive edge within the industry. Promote the SAIMM brand to grow awareness of the Institute's expertise and achieve its strategic objectives. Grow the SAIMM brand by utilising different platforms, to enable engagement with a variety of stakeholders and initiating conversations with those entities who do not know who we are and what we do. Set up, approve and implement the creative direction that the SAIMM should follow. Collaborate with specific service providers to deliver the SAIMM brand objectives. Ensure alignment and consistency of all branded elements within the SAIMM. Marketing Set up a marketing strategy for the SAIMM which includes overall marketing of the Institute, its various committees, membership, conferences and publications. Compile the strategic input for a marketing plan in conjunction with the various departments and committees. Implement the abovementioned marketing plan with the support of relevant departments and committees. Be responsible for all aspects of marketing; developing and implementation of marketing strategies, social media content and management, advertising, and sponsorships. Develop content for all the various channels, including website, social media and video content. Implement and execute end-to-end management from campaign planning and execution, collateral development, and performance tracking and optimisation. Stakeholder Communications Create, manage and co-ordinate all forms of communication within the organisation. Manage communication channels to increase SAIMM's visibility and competitive edge. Enhance the SAIMM's voice to create more visibility and a competitive edge. Ensure accurate, timely and effective communications with stakeholder and members, encompassing all the elements required to achieve successful public relations. Compile and implement a communications strategy in conjunction with the various departments and committees, the Office Bearers and the Council. Develop and manage communications' policies and procedures. Manage the various relationships with key media partners. Correspond with employees and external stakeholders to keep them informed of developments. Co-ordinate company briefs to employees with the Manager and other relevant internal stakeholders. Other Measure effectiveness and execute quality control accordingly, of all deliverables to ensure they are on-brief, on-budget, and on-time. Track finished campaigns to evaluate and review successes and failures, sharing lessons learned with internal and external stakeholders. Report back on progress to all relevant Committees within the SAIMM. Take on additional responsibilities commensurate to the role as and when required. 3 Years' experience in a marketing position, ideally in an SME or Corporate business. Preferred - Marketing related degree or diploma. Good project/campaign management skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Proven ability to work within a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Good time management. Ability to focus on set tasks at certain times of the working week. Comfortable receiving and accepting creative direction and feedback from stakeholders, team members, and other organisation employees. Be able create concepts, from start to finish, with minimal or no supervision. Adhere to deadlines and demonstrate effective time management, project management and organisational skills. Good communication skills and social networking skills. South African citizen or holder of a valid work permit. The ability to get to events in other centres and countries. Our organisation is a Not for Profit Company (NPC), and the salary is between R360 000 - R408 000 per annum. Our benefits are as follows: 20 days annual leave A pension scheme (the company contributes 12,43% and the employee contributes 7,5%) R1 500 medical aid contribution.
