Lead the IT transformation journey for Rainbow Chicken, including the development and execution of a comprehensive IT roadmap to support business growth and operational efficiency. Rainbow Chicken , a standalone entity emerging from RCL FOODS Group, is seeking a dynamic Head of IT to spearhead the transformation of our IT infrastructure. This pivotal role involves managing the transition from the current shared IT environment to an independent, robust IT setup for Rainbow Chicken . We are looking for an innovative leader who can navigate change, drive technological advancements, and align IT systems with our business strategy. This role will be based in Hammarsdale and Centurion and will report into the Financial Director. Role Purpose: Lead the IT transformation journey for Rainbow Chicken, including the development and execution of a comprehensive IT roadmap to support business growth and operational efficiency. Required Qualifications and Experience: A 3-year degree in Information Technology or Business Management will be required. Master's Degree Preferred. A minimum of 10 - 12 years' experience is required in a similar field with at least 5 years in senior management capacity. Key Responsibilities: IT Strategy and Planning Collaborate with Rainbow Exco to develop and refine the organization's IT strategy, ensuring it aligns with the broader business strategy and priorities. This includes setting strategic priorities, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and tracking progress. Technology/Digital Innovation and Trends Stay informed about emerging information technologies and trends. Assess their potential value for the organization and provide recommendations on their adoption or integration into the existing IT landscape. Project Portfolio Management Oversee the IT project portfolio, working closely with the Financial Director/CFO to prioritize projects that support business objectives. Ensure projects are well-defined, adequately resourced, and completed on time and within budget -risk, project/portfolio costing. Vendor and Partner Management Maintain relationships with key technology vendors, suppliers, and strategic partners. Evaluate potential partners and suppliers, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor performance to ensure service levels are met. Financial Management (OPEX & CAPEX) Work with the Financial Director / CFO to compile and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring it aligns with organizational strategic priorities. Monitor expenses, ensure compliance, and proactively address budget variances. IT Governance and Compliance Ensure the organization's IT initiatives comply with internal standards, legislation, and corporate governance frameworks. Collaborate with the Financial Director / CFO to manage IT controls and oversee information security and compliance efforts. Human Capital Management Provide leadership to the IT team, working with the IT team to define objectives and performance goals. Address performance issues and ensure a positive working environment that promotes productivity and staff morale. Define performance targets and key performance indicators for the IT department. Measure and report on KPIs, making adjustments as needed to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Manages talent planning and development within the team. Risk Management Collaborate with the Financial Director / CFO to identify and manage risks related to IT systems, data security, networks, and maintenance. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity. Communication and Reporting Act as a liaison between the Financial Director / CFO and the IT team. Ensure effective communication between different IT teams and departments. Provide regular updates and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders. IT Policy and Procedure Alignment Ensure that IT policies and procedures align with the organization's strategic business objectives. Collaborate with the Financial Director / CFO to drive adherence to IT policies and standards. Change Management Oversee change management processes related to IT initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition during transformation projects, new acquisitions, and technology and application changes. Business Partnering Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure that IT initiatives are aligned with their needs and priorities. Promote the role of IT as an enabler of business processes. Engagement with senior stakeholders to determine IT priorities within business/group functions. Quality Assurance and Conformance Work with the IT Applications Manager to manage documentation related to quality assurance and conformance. Ensure adherence to standards and regulatory requirements. Support audit processes and maintain relevant documentation. Apply Now
