Join our client's vibrant team at a leading Cape Town-based e-commerce and financial services business Our client is on the lookout for a highly skilled and dynamic Executive Legal Assistant to support the Head of Group Legal Services. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in coordinating and delivering various legal services across our client's rapidly expanding organization. Legal Service Coordination: Coordinate and provide all group legal services, including company secretarial, HR, risk and compliance, complaints resolution, and legal insurance activities oversight. Act as a primary point of contact for legal inquiries, ensuring prompt resolution. Stay informed about all Group Legal activities and emerging matters, maintaining constant communication with stakeholders across different management levels to identify legal service needs. Contract Drafting and Revision: Draft and review contracts for multiple group companies and subsidiaries. Ensure contracts adhere to legal requirements and company policies. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to negotiate and finalize contract terms. Contract Management: Develop and implement efficient contract management processes. Maintain an organized database of contracts and related documents. Monitor contract timelines and renewals, ensuring compliance with obligations. Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research on various commercial law matters. Analyze legal issues and provide recommendations to the Head of Group Legal Services. Stay updated on changes in relevant legislation and regulations. Support to Head of Group Legal Services: Provide administrative support as required, including preparing legal documents, presentations, and reports. Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements. LLM degree specializing in commercial law/contracts. Admitted attorney. Minimum of 5 years of appropriate post-article work experience.
