Legal Officer with a strong understanding of copyright law is needed to assist the General Counsel in managing the company's legal & business affairs. Responsibilities Ensure Compliance with relevant legislation Research legal aspects required by the organization. Review and draft contracts and policies as required by business. Initiating internal infringement processes Prepare and present legal advice and opinion. Continuously review and implement dispute resolution processes - counterclaims Licensing and Service Level contract drafting, review and negotiations Attend and present at workshops, roundtable discussions and forum logistics Research and advise on new copyright cases around the world Requirements LLB with interest in Copyright Law 4 years relevant experience after graduation. Experience working in a CMO or Music publishing company Preferred Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office R360,000 ctc.
