Machine Tool Fitter - Johannesburg
Responsibilities:
- Read and understand technical drawings.
- Measure with verniers, micrometers, thread gauges etc.
- Strip and assemble gearboxes.
- Draft a materials list and complete simple sketches and drawings.
- Do routine maintenance and attend to mechanical break downs when required.
- Strip and assemble lead screws and ball screws.
- Matric or equivalent along with at least 5 years post apprenticeship experience within a Machine Shop.
- Trade Tested Fitter with 10 years experience.
- Must be familiar with setting gibs.
- Must have hydraulics and pneumatics operating machinery experience.
- Must be familiar with electromagnetic and mechanical clutches.
- Must have proven ability to do fault finding.
