Our client specializes in importing and distributing a diverse range of fresh and frozen perishable goods, along with representing a portfolio of renowned FMCG products. Serving both the HORECA industry and retail sector, our client has built a reputation for its reliable distribution network and commitment to delivering quality products to its customers. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Market Analyst to join our team in Seychelles. The Market Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data related to market trends, customer behaviour, competitor activity, and product performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations. Key Responsibilities: Market Research: Conduct comprehensive research to identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes. Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets using statistical techniques and data visualization tools to uncover insights and opportunities. Forecasting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and demand projections based on historical data, market trends, and industry analysis. Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activity, pricing strategies, and product offerings to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation. Product Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of existing products and make recommendations for product enhancements or discontinuations based on market demand and profitability. Customer Insights: Utilize customer feedback, surveys, and market segmentation analysis to identify target customer segments and tailor marketing strategies accordingly. Strategic Recommendations: Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on data-driven insights to support business planning and decision-making Route to market: Be able to manipulate costings for route to market to establish the price point needed for all new products. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or related field. Master's degree preferred. 2 years of experience in market analysis, business intelligence, or related field, preferably in the wholesale and distribution industry. Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as Qlik Sense or Power BI. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong business acumen and a passion for understanding market dynamics and driving business growth. Advanced Excel Skills The position will pay a market related salary dependent on experience. The company will also provide a car and a cell phone contract for the incumbent. Accommodation is the responsibility of the incumbent, however the first month's rental will be covered by the company.
