A 1-year contract position has become available for a Programme Manager - Social Transformation to join our dynamic team, based in Johannesburg. Main Purpose of the Role This is a leadership team role within the organisation. The role is responsible for supporting strategy development and delivering on programme objectives within a specified area within budgets and within set timelines. Formulation of key partnerships is key to this role as well as supporting the team on project management and delivery. Additionally, this role requires strong business development and fundraising capabilities. Drive the development and implementation the Social Transformation's strategy and programmatic implementation. Provide management and support to project teams to ensure achievement of deliverables and objectives. Support integration and cross-functional programmatic support across the organisation. Contribute to organisational collaborative and integration objectives. Raise target programme funding through varied sources including company sponsorship, donor funding and proposals. Regularly monitor and manage the risk of project financial information. Ensure financial compliance on all project budgets with aligned organisational policies and procedures. Manage performance management and personal development plans of the team. Build and strengthen relationships with member companies, partners and key stakeholders in the private sector, government and broadly. Build awareness of the Social Transformation programme with members, external relations, and key organisations and key industry players. Conceptualise and coordinate dialogue and engagement through NBI event platforms. Consistently and regularly contribute to thought leadership communications through NBI channels. The successful candidate must be a great communicator, have experience in strategy development, programme management, planning, implementation, development, fundraising and stakeholder engagement. Team leadership and financial risk management is also a big part of this role plus problemsolving and decision-making skills. Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience. Experience working in sustainable development, social transformation and/or issues of inequity and inequality, gender, ethics, and anti-corruption. A Bachelor's Degree in Social Science, Economics, Business Studies. A Master's Degree will be an added advantage. Deep knowledge and understanding of the socio-economic landscape in South Africa are key criterion. Required Competencies Strategic thinking and planning. Multi-tasking. Minimum supervision.
