Our client is a global company in bulk liquid distribution. They are looking for seasoned Shipping/maritime lawyer to join their legal team as Senior Legal Counsel in a fully remote role South Africa. They require at least 5 years PQE from a reputable law firm with solid transport and logistics exposure as well as corporate commercial transactional work. Performance areas: Your duties will comprise of 60% Maritime Law, 30% Corporate and Commercial and 10% Other legal duties, these include but are not limited to: Transport and Logistics work in specifically Shipping and tankers. Contract Negotiation Risk Management Corporate Governance Transactional Support Regulatory Affairs Insurance and Claims Management Some Dispute management Strategic Advice LLB required and admitted attorney. LLM in Maritime Law beneficial Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing transport and logistics law with an emphasis on maritime law. Comprehensive Corporate Commercial experience across the board for multi-national clients. Experience in Energy and Natural Resources law beneficial.
