A manufacturing company currently has a vacancy for a motivated, professional and attentive to detail Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality Officer to join their team. This position requires someone who is able to use their own initiative to drive the company SHEQ objectives, ensuring legal compliance is maintained. Maintain ISO systems and accreditation (ISO 9001:2015) Maintain a SHE Management system Ensure compliance with SHE regulations and adherence to SHE standards, including safety induction and training Promote and ensure adherence to SHEQ company policies and procedures Keep management up to date and informed about legislative SHE requirements/ recommendations/opportunities for improvement Identify unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards, investigate root causes and identify corrective and preventative actions Conduct workplace Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments, create safety systems and procedures to enhance safe working conditions Investigate any accident, near-miss incident or occupational disease that occurred in the place of work, reporting where necessary Responsible for implementing & monitoring onsite contractor compliance Ensuring efficient awareness & communication takes place with the workforce Responsible for emergency preparedness SHEQ Management System Audits & customer audits Chairing of SHEQ Meetings Compilation of Safety Files Appointed Deputy POPI & PAIA Information Officer Appointed Employment Equity Manager Dependant on experience & qualifications
