Minimum Job Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Media & Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or relevant field.
Relevant Post Graduate qualification would be a definite advantage.
Minimum 5 to 8 years experience within a large multinational organisation.

Responsibilities (KPAs):

Public Relations Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive public relations and communications strategies to enhance the Groups public image.
- Manage media relations, including cultivating relationships with Journalists and media outlets.
- Manage agency support effectively to deliver engaging content and positive stories across various platforms.
- Draft press releases, speeches, and other communications materials.
- Research and develop messages on key topics for communication activities.
Internal and External Communications:
- Oversee internal communications to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with the Group's goals.
- Develop and co-ordinate the delivery of the annual internal communication plan.
- Drive, implement and co-ordinate campaigns that inspire, engage and inform employees.
- Manage external communications channels such as social media, newsletters, and company website content.
Government and Regulatory Affairs:
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments.
- Develop advocacy strategies and engage with government officials and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure good governance of communication systems and processes.
- Uphold corporate identity, ensuring Group templates are used.
- Support and leverage Group initiatives and effective co-ordinate with Group team.
Crisis Management:
- Serve as a spokesperson during crises or sensitive issues, ensuring timely and effective communication.
Event Management:
- Plan and execute events, conferences and other public engagements.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage budgets related to communications and public affairs activities.
- Supervise staff or external Consultants involved in communications and public relations.
