Job Overview: Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to over the Western Cape Region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in meeting and exceeding targets with B2B sales, strong networking abilities, and a good understanding of skills development, be it learnerships / internships/bursaries and/or qualification frameworks in SA. Also, a general understanding of BBBEE compliance and the functions of SETAs is most beneficial to hitting the ground running. This role requires someone who is well-versed in the selling process of training solutions and high business acumen to drive growth and partnerships in the industry. This will yield greater opportunities and synergies in the learning and development space, and thus create a greater ROI whilst capitalising on the already broad company portfolio. Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives. Identify and target new business opportunities within the IT, Business, and Design sectors. Conduct market research to understand industry trends and customer needs. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Understand clients' training needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements. Provide exceptional customer service and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction. Skills Development and BBBEE Compliance: Advise clients on skills development initiatives and compliance with BBBEE standards. Understand and leverage the benefits of SETAs (Sector Education and Training Authorities) for clients. Assist clients in planning and implementing skills development programs that align with BBBEE requirements (based on their internal BBBEE advisement) Networking and Business Development: Network with industry professionals, organizations, and associations to generate leads and build business relationships and ongoing partnerships. Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote company. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective promotional strategies, bringing to the forefront creative ideas and fresh approaches to engaging with the correct target audience. Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients. Negotiate contract terms and pricing to achieve win-win outcomes. Reporting and Analysis: Set and compile projections/targets/stats and financial breakdowns to ensure articulation of how to achieve targets and feedback to Manco effectively. Track and report on sales performance metrics and KPIs. Provide regular updates to senior management on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts. Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Matric Tertiary qualification beneficial (Business/Marketing/Education) 5 years experience in B2B sales, preferably in the training or education sector. If not in that sector then a reviewable track record of target achievements and sales abilities will be required Understanding of skills development, BBBEE compliance, and SETAs Excellent networking and relationship-building skills High business acumen with the ability to understand and address client needs Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools Ability to work independently and as part of a team R30 000 – R35 000 Commission (depending on qualification and experience) Apply Now
