Namlog seeks experienced candidate that will be responsible for customs clearance. Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following: Receipt of all documents from Operations Auditing documents as per SARS policies and regulations Framing and capturing of all data on Easy Clear Tariff classification in line with all revenue authorities / guideline Good understanding of Port Health, Animal and Agriculture requirements. Comprehensive knowledge on SARS submission processes Communication with both local and cross border Customs departments Ensure overall accuracy of all customs entries. Good understanding on VAT calculation as per destination / Country laws and regulations Contribute to the successful operation of the Clearing and Forwarding Dept, in terms of quality of work and productivity. Matric Comprehensive knowledge of the clearing and forwarding industry-all service offerings Exceptional knowledge of Customs Act, rules and regulations Exceptional knowledge of Customs tariff classification At least 2 years' experience in a similar position Ability to work alone or as part of a team Knowledge of MS Word/Excel and Easy Clear Accuracy in completing applications for refunds Grade 12 certificate or equivalent. Strong inter-personal skills, preferably coupled with outgoing personality. Ability to build good working relationships. Possess well-developed communication skills. Be methodical and well organized with an analytical and enquiring mind. Have the ability to work accurately and under pressure. Customs clearing qualification advantageous.
