Lead cross-functional teams, manage existing partnerships, and evaluate company business goals driving operational efficiency, enhancing organizational performance, and contributing to the achievement of the business objectives. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Logistic Management (NQF Level 7) Minimum Experience: 10 years' minimum Operational experience in the field of cargo and logistic operations. In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.) Managerial experience and demonstrated ability to develop and lead others. Functional & Regulated Training: Compliance Management Operations Management Business Risk Management Strategic Business Management Environmental / Other conditions: Warehouse Environment Valid Driver's Licence Own reliable transport Willingness to travel Ability and willingness to work extended hours at your own initiate and/or request Knowledge of the BCEA (Basic Conditions of Employment Act), LRA (Labour relations Act) and EEA (Employment Equity Act) Behavioural: Leadership Problem solving Innovative Communication skills Collaboration Financial knowledge Strategic Regulatory knowledge Responsibilities and duties: National Management and reporting Implement performance targets in line with strategic objectives to ensure operational performance is achieved. Report to the Executive Committee (EXCO) on a monthly basis the regional operations performance including the On-Time Performance (OTP) in order to monitor overall Operations performance across all the regions. Investigate all the incidents, occurrences and hazards in order to formulate and implement corrective actions. Monitor all the discrepancies raised in the region on the discrepancy management system by capturing all the reports to close and/or update the discrepancy within the stipulated timelines in order to ascertain that customer queries are addressed timeously. Liaise with the relevant department or region for further handling on claims. Operational Planning Participate in the planning with the Executive team on the strategic operational objectives. Communicate and implement the company strategies and operational plans. Lead, streamline and optimize operational processes across the organization to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Formulate action plans for all insufficient performances, implement processes to optimise operations in order to ensure that there is continuous improvement in the Operational performance. Implement best practices. Review all implemented tasks by performing audits to determine if processes and procedures are done in accordance with the company standards. People Management: Oversee, implement and manage compliance of training, policies and procedures for adherence to the BCEA (Basic Conditions of Employment Act). Assess staff resources continuously to determine if the headcount is in line with budget and operational requirements. Comply with the requirements of the Employment Equity Plan. Evaluate performance and identify skills required to fill the necessary gaps. Mentor and coach individuals to grow within their relevant positions to facilitate the succession plan. Financial Management: Plan and co-ordinate the annual budget and capex requirements nationally in line with the company's growth strategy ➢ Manage planning of assets in line with operational requirements for optimal business function. Manage the National Operations expenditure on a continuous basis to ensure that the variances to approved budgets are minimised. Implement a customer retention strategy to ensure revenue targets are met. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to achieve optimal financial results. Audit and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Seek collaboration with Regulatory bodies, including airlines, to establish a mutually beneficial partnership that fosters trust in our procedures and allows for joint decision making. Ensure compliance to the Road Traffic Act. Conduct audits, identify any deficiencies and apply corrective actions to maintain regulatory compliance with in the cargo network. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with all stakeholders to establish our operational framework in line with current and future guidelines. Monitor the validity of existing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure they remain relevant and that service providers adhere to the provision of the SLA for operational performance by conducting monthly stakeholder meetings. Conduct meetings with stakeholders to review and communicate actual performance against agreed performance and include recommendations for corrective actions. Conduct surveys to measure customer satisfaction in order to rectify any substandard service. Salary: R85 000 pm CTC Apply Now
