HR Consulting seeking a knowledgeable and experienced HR Consultant to join our team. As an HR Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in various HR disciplines, ensuring compliance with relevant labour laws, and fostering a positive and productive work environment through effective HR policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: HR Disciplines : Advise on and implement best practices in HR disciplines including recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and HR administration. Employment Equity: Develop and implement employment equity plans and strategies to promote diversity and inclusion within the organization. Skills Development: Facilitate skills development initiatives, including skills planning, training interventions, and compliance with Skills Development Act requirements. MEIBC Main Agreement : Interpret and apply the Metal and Engineering Industries Bargaining Council (MEIBC) Main Agreement effectively in relation to wages, working conditions, and other relevant provisions. Basic Conditions of Employment Act : Ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), advising on leave entitlements, working hours, and other statutory requirements. HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and organizational goals. Provide guidance on policy interpretation and implementation. Consultative Role: Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR-related issues, providing expert guidance and solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. Reporting and Analytics: Prepare HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and strategic planning processes. Requirements: Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management Five years proven experience as an HR Consultant or similar role, with a deep understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment legislation. Must have own vehicle and willing to travel within the Gauteng area Certification from a recognized HR body (e.g., SHRM, HRCI, IPM) is an advantage. Strong knowledge of the MEIBC Main Agreement, BCEA, and other relevant labour laws and regulations. Experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and employment equity plans. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization. Analytical mindset with proficiency in HR metrics and reporting. Personal Attributes: Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive HR information. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
