Minimum of 5 years experience in a plastic production environment
Minimum 5 years experience in faultfinding and process control.
PLC programming certificate
Wiremans licence would be advantageous
Strong Communications skills
Ability to work in a team.

Own transport and drivers license essential.
Overtime and standby will be required from time to time.
A strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems

Responsibilities:
Assisting the production department in achieving optimum efficiencies through timeously and efficiently attending to the technical requirements of their machinery and auxiliary equipment during maintenance, repair and servicing.
Attending to the electrical and pneumatic requirements of new machinery to be installed.
Assisting with troubleshooting / problem solving in the department as and when required.
Staying abreast of, advising and where cost effective, assisting with the implementation of technical developments and improvements.
To be on standby as and when required.
Practicing good departmental and interdepartmental relations.
Practicing good Housekeeping and Safety.
Installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting control devices such as thermostats, timers, switches, pressure gauges, flowmeters, or other devices used to measure or regulate conditions in a facility or process being controlled.
Performing analyses to design industrial controls systems that meet safety requirements and specifications, including selecting instrumentation and controls based on performance requirements
Monitoring equipment performance and adjusting as needed to maintain optimal performance levels.
Installing electrical wiring to control devices or equipment such as motors, pumps, fans, or lights
Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and pneumatic control panels and other technical equipment used in industrial settings.
Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing industrial equipment related to machinery and plant.
Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, relays, transistors, diodes, and transformers
Testing and calibrating equipment to ensure that it is operating correctly.
Conducting research to develop new technologies or improve existing equipment.
Experience in the injection and compression moulding fields will be an advantage.
Knowledge and understanding of PLC; AC/DC Drives and electronics.
