Description: Hire Resolve's client, a leading mining company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Resident Engineer to join their team in the Western Cape (Fixed Term - 2 years). The Project Resident Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of mining infrastructure and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all engineering activities related to the project, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. Oversee the construction and maintenance of mining infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, including engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation. Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise. Prepare regular progress reports and updates for project stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project requirements and specifications. Manage and control project costs, ensuring effective budget management. Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, reports, and correspondence. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mining, or related field). GCC Mines and Works 10 years' experience in the Mining Industry. Must hold a 2.13.1 or 2.13.3.1 currently. SAMTRAC will be advantageous.
