Key Job Functions:

Accurately handle all veterinary certificates.
Check and book all spaces on vessels promptly.
Capture all customer information and deliver documentation at ports.
Liaise with cold storage regarding container bookings and stock availability.
Ensure successful administration of all port documents.
Comply with Occupational Health & Safety, HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and other standards.
Perform ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum qualification: Matric with an additional qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain or related field.
3-5 years experience in a similar role.
Proven computer skills.
Knowledge of South African Customs and import & export control.
Experience in shipping and freight environment advantageous.
Familiarity with EDI, bill of entries, SAD 500, VOC, export and cargo dues.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work weekends and overtime.
Capacity to work under pressure.
