We are urgently searching for a Branch Site Manager with SAP knowledge, Warehouse, Transport and Logistics experience to work in Kempton Park. It is a Warehouse / Transport / Logistic company. Overview A well-established logistics company, operating nationally is seeking for an experienced candidate who will plan, organize, direct, manage, evaluate and responsible for Operations including warehousing and transport. The incumbent must be able to lead and manage the branch to achieve optimum efficiencies and profit margins. The incumbent will manage predominantly on SAP and liaise continuously with the National Operations Manager to ensure an efficient operation. The ideal candidate needs to be highly organized and communicate effectively. This position is based in one of our branches. Duties & Responsibilities: Transport Management: Plan routing and allocation of resources- knowledge of the region and retail environment essential Manage staff through effective planning, leading, organising and running of the operations. Ensure all system and transport procedures are adhered to and confirmed at close of every day Ensure schedules are adhered to and product is delivered on-time and in-full. Assist in the problem solving at back-doors and expedite deliveries with team. Monitor and manage driver issues such as accidents, safety concerns, or licensing issues. Ensure accurate, efficient and effective day to day running of the operations. Responsible for fuel management and consumption. Oversee accurate and live tracking information to customers and internal managers. Manage efficient maintenance of fleet. Obtaining quotes and – accurate costing to calculate competitive prices to clients. Effective asset utilisation - analyse delivery costs and recommend more cost-effective methods of transportation. Responsible for continuous improvement of all fleet operations. Preparing and overseeing reconciliations on fuel usage and reporting irregularities and variances. Follow up on vehicle license renewals and fines. Providing an excellent standard of customer care and liaising with hauliers, customers and third parties, as and when required. General support as required to other members of the transport and distribution team and all aspects of transport administration. Must have a hands-on operating style. Responsible for the efficient day to day operations of the warehouse. Focus on the improvement of processes to ensure customer needs are being met, while maintain high quality and cost-effective logistic services. Asset management. Accountability for company assets. Maintain acceptable levels of housekeeping, security and sanitation levels on a daily basis. Assess warehouse operations daily to ensure the warehouse is neat, and well organised. Optimise warehouse layout to maximise and balance space utilisation and handling efficiency . Warehouse Management: Oversee receiving, warehousing and maintenance operations Plan and schedule department functions to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of products meeting customer expectations and requirements through efficient utilisation of personnel and facilities. Receive, batch check and store received goods. Electronics receipt of inwards goods Effectively monitor the dispatch of orders to ensure it is done timeously. Effectively monitor daily/weekly and monthly stock counts and ensure stock accuracy at his branch. Coordinate container movement at his site. Manage stock take processes. Leadership and human resource management Identify staffing requirements for the branch. Ensure that staff request form is used in conjunction with HR for new or replacement positions. Exhibit positive leadership behavior. Encourage teamwork, trust and collaboration and motivate the staff to achieve a level of productivity and profitability. Develop supervisory capability. Handle disciplinary matters as and when required. Ensure that staff comply with legal requirements. Ensure proper staff induction is done for all new employees. Ensure staff are qualified and trained appropriately to suit job functions. Assist with performance and skills development reviews Comply with HR policy and procedures Administration including time and attendance records, which relate to timesheets. Managing Daily workload Oversee daily picking of orders and processing of Goods Delivery Notes and Invoices. Supervise all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure that they are all correct and carried out in a timely fashion. Checking of outgoing and incoming stock for proper counts codes and condition. Replenishing stock and performing Cycle Counts. Maintain accurate physical inventories. Implement a cycle count program which drives inventory to 100% accuracy. Ensure that all records and reports regarding the warehouse activity are prepared on a timely and efficient manner. Create daily work schedules based on productivity standards and ensure employees meet standards. Provide clear instruction of dispatch times from your branch and delivery times to the customers. Issue and obtain ALL necessary paperwork from drivers. Direct drivers to fuel the motor vehicle as per designated fueling stations. Reconcile fueling expenses. Record of milage and fuel expenses for each motor vehicle must be recorded in an excel spreadsheet. Compliance Comply with all health, safety and environmental regulation. Ensure that the entire facility is compliant with respect to all required certifications. Conduct workplace induction and training Assist with performance and skills development reviews Manage HR, Compliance and Health and Safety per processes and policies Administration including time and attendance records Maintain ISO 9001and other regulatory certifications including pharma and food grade Planning Planning all deliveries using SAP administration system and complete all deliveries on SAP MM using the process steps. Daily planning of inbound and outbound stock movement. Planning of handling equipment required to perform daily tasks. Ensure that OTIF is achieved based on overall business KPI's Manage delivery and transfer orders. Essential Requirements As a leader, you must possess strong leadership, managerial and organisational skills. Good decision-making skills. As an independent manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of logistics operations in your warehouse. You must have effective oral and written communication skills at all levels. Apply professional, polite communication skills. Recommend and implement corrective actions for all areas of the operation. Ability to effectively lead meetings. Act in accordance with warehouse corporate mission and corporate goals. Deliver extraordinary customer service in a courteous, efficient and professional manner. Give attention to detail to detect discrepancies on records and reports. Be punctual, be concerned about attendance and attentiveness. Meet commitments, accept accountability, stay focused under pressure and adhere to established guidelines and rules of the organisation. Be flexible with schedule and be able to work weekends and nights. Desired Experience & Qualification Distribution of FMCG in 3PL experience essential Excellent Excel skills SAP WMS experience Essential 5 years' experience in distribution and operational procedures 8 years' experience in logistics industry Able to multi-task and work independently Proven leadership skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills In-depth understanding of distribution in workplaces Ability to work weekends and long hours if required Neg.
