We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Commercial Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a BTech/ BEng Electrical Degree with 5-10 years of experience in a similar role and must be registered with ECSA as a PrEng or PrTech. The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for the end-to-end sales process, including conducting site surveys, compiling requirements, designing solar panel layouts using Helioscope, equipment placement, drawing up proposals, deploying the companies solar PV systems (including inverters and batteries) for residential, commercial, and industrial clients, and liaising with the deployment team. Some travel will be involved from time to time. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and own transportation. Key Responsibilities: Initial Contact: Identify and contact potential clients to generate leads and expand the customer base. Engage with clients to understand their energy needs and project goals. Site Surveys: Conduct detailed site surveys to assess the suitability of locations for solar panel installations. Gather and document all relevant site information including measurements, shading analysis, and structural assessments. Requirements Compilation: Compile detailed and accurate requirements based on client consultations and site surveys. Solar Panel Layouts: Utilize Helioscope to design and optimize solar panel layouts. Ensure layouts are compliant with industry standards and maximize energy production. Proposals: Prepare comprehensive and professional proposals for potential clients. Include technical specifications, cost estimates, project timelines, and expected energy savings in proposals. Closing the Sale: Present proposals to clients and address any queries or concerns. Negotiate terms and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets Deployment: Oversee the deployment of the companies solar PV systems, including inverters and batteries, for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Ensure that all installations are carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant regulations. Handover Documentation: Deliver handover documents to the deployment team for implementation. Ensure that all necessary documentation and information are provided for a smooth transition to the deployment phase. Client Satisfaction: Follow up with clients post-installation to ensure satisfaction with the system. Address any post-sale issues or concerns to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Site Sign-Off: Conduct a final site visit to verify that the system has been installed according to the proposal and client requirements. Obtain client sign-off to confirm completion and satisfaction with the installation. Liaison with Deployment Team: Work closely with the deployment team to ensure smooth transition from proposal to implementation. Provide the deployment team with all necessary documentation and support during the installation phase. Customer Engagement: Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the sales and installation process. Address any concerns or queries raised by clients promptly and effectively. Technical Support: Offer technical support and advice to clients regarding solar panel systems and installations. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide accurate and relevant information to clients. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all site surveys, client interactions, proposals, and installations. Prepare regular reports for the Sales Manager on sales activities, pipeline status, and project progress. Qualifications: Education: BTech/BEng Electrical degree. Registration with ECSA as a PrEng or PrTech. Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a similar technical sales role. Proven track record in sales environment, conducting site surveys and designing solar panel layouts. Skills: Proficiency in using Helioscope for solar panel layout designs. Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and components. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prepare detailed and accurate proposals.
