- Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance and repair work on electrical systems, machinery, and automation equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical and automation issues, identify faults, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Automation Systems: Program, configure, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, and other automation systems used in the steel or food industry.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, installations, and modifications performed, including parts used and time spent.
- Upgrades and Improvements: Identify opportunities for system upgrades and improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, including engineers and technicians, to ensure seamless operations and project completion.
Qualifications- Education: Relevant trade tested certification in Electrical
- Experience: Minimum of 2 to3 years of experience as an electrician in the steel or food industry, with a strong emphasis on automation systems.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other automation components.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
Certifications: Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA) and a valid electricians license.
