External Sales Representative - Cape Town City Centre

An External Sales Representative, also known as an Outside Sales Representative or Field Sales Representative, is a customer-facing role responsible for driving sales within a designated territory. They achieve this by building relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their needs, and presenting solutions through the company's products or services.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and lead generation: Identify and qualify potential customers through various channels.
  • Building relationships: Develop rapport and trust with new and existing clients.
  • Needs assessment: Understand customer challenges and objectives through active listening.
  • Product/service presentations: Deliver compelling presentations tailored to specific customer needs.
  • Negotiation and closing deals: Negotiate contracts and close sales effectively.
  • Customer service: Ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints.
  • Sales reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and performance metrics.
  • Market research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams (marketing, customer service) to achieve sales goals.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Proven sales experience with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a drive to succeed.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory (may be required).
